Thinking of integrating circularity & sustainability in your business?

Our approach

The principles of Design for Sustainability and Circular Economy are the foundation of our approach. These principles influence the development of DOT (Direction of Transitions) which supports the process of creating products, services, and systems that are conscious and responsible.

We can’t go circular alone!

Our collaboration in Malaysia continued in 2023 with the initiation of the Green Design Alliance (GDA).

GDA is a collaborative effort to advance sustainable and circular designs and products by connecting various stakeholders who are involved and interested in the green movement in Malaysia.

The aim is to build an alliance of entrepreneurs (especially designers, makers, and designers-makers), support, and services for businesses, government agencies, and policymakers.

The entrepreneurs will use the Direction of Transition (DOT) framework developed by Dr. Sarah Suib to assist small and medium enterprises in starting their sustainable journey.

My story

Sustainability consultant

Dr. Sarah Suib,

Consultant & Founder

My late grandmother (whom the family fondly called ‘Tok’ ) used to make patchwork blankets made from leftover or unwanted fabrics. They were basic, practical, warm, and comfortable. She did not make these blankets with a sustainability intention, but it is part of intergenerational ecological knowledge. It depicts a way of life where waste is viewed as an available resource in the household.

Unknowingly, this was one of my initial lessons in sustainability.

Sustainability is a continuous effort to create flourishing interactions. These interactions exist between people, nature, and the human-made environment. The interactions can be simple and complex, but the intention remains the same - to nurture a flourishing state in this world.

Through my work in Hint Studio, I look forward to exploring, sharing, learning, and findings ways to implement sustainable and circular interactions with SMEs.
