A framework to support businesses integrate sustainable & circular strategies in their products and activities.

Where to start?

There are three potential starting points when initiating the green transition: Products, Services, and Organization.

Products include strategies directly connected to designing, manufacturing, selling, using, and discarding a product.

Services are connected to the touchpoints involved in providing a service.

Organizations are connected to the management of the companies and are not directly linked to creating and producing a product and service.

*This categorization is comparable to the basic view of accounting where Organization is related to ‘Overhead Cost’, Services is similar to ‘Cost of Service - COS’, and Products is identical to ‘Cost of Goods Sold - COGS’.

Designing the green transition

The Direction of Transition (DOT) is a framework that supports SMEs in integrating sustainable & circular strategies in their products and business activities. The framework is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC), and the Paris Agreement. DOT aims to make your green transitions simpler, cost-efficient, and with meaningful impacts on the world.
